Programme profile


The programme involves the study of theoretical and practice based subjects related to psychiatric nursing. Students will be exposed to classroom teaching and taught practice placements in a variety of home, residential and community settings throughout the Mayo / Roscommon region.
Students will undertake a 36-week paid internship in their final year of study during which they will gain clinical experience

Entry Requirements


Students must present six subjects of which two must be at grade C or above at Advanced GCE (A-Level. The other subjects must be at least at grade C or above on GCSE or Advanced Subsidiary GCE (AS) papers. The six subjects must include: English, Mathematics and a language other than English.
